About

Caterpillar Curriculum was created with one simple but powerful belief: children grow best when they understand where they come from, are encouraged to imagine where they can go, and are loved for who they are.

Our mission is to nurture children into thoughtful, confident learners by helping them to explore History, culture, and identity in ways that are clear, age-appropriate, and incredibly inspiring. Through engaging stories, creative activities, and meaningful artwork we help children uncover deep roots from the past and develop strong wings for the future.

We intentionally center on American Black History, not as a side note, but as an essential part of learning and the lens through which we create our materials.

At the same time. we invite all children to investigate the full scope of American History with curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking.

We believe education should feel like discovery, a discovery that can reveal both pain and possibility. We are certain that learning can be clear and age-appropriate, and still inspiring.

Caterpillar Curriculum reflects the work of an independent historical researcher, that is, someone who studies the past with care, curates it thoughtfully, and translates it for families and children. Grounded in research, this work is offered as an invitation to learn, reflect, and explore history together, through a child’s perspective, not as a definitive or exhaustive historical source.
