Introduction
The Caterpillar Curriculum workbook series
"365 Days of American Black History" is history curated for kids and doesn't limit Black History to a single month or a handful of well-known names, these workbooks honor the truth that Black History is American History, lived every day, and shaped by ordinary and extraordinary people.

By learning a little at a time about the labor, family, food, education, creativity, struggle, joy, traditions, skills, and resilience children will begin to see patterns, ask thoughtful questions, and understand how the past connects to the present.

"365 Days of American Black History"
In the collection of workbooks, "American Black History" refers to past experiences, achievements, and contributions of enslaved Africans and their descendants in America. These collections will also identify past and present obstacles of systemic racism that Black people have faced while simultaneously playing a vital role in shaping the United States of America.
Roots & Wings
Historical Fiction Short Stories
This series uses short, fictional stories based on oral and documented history to foster a positive emotional connection to difficult subjects.
Kids can imagine what life might have felt like for children and families in the past.

Roots & Wings will help children grow roots by understanding the past, and wings by helping them build empathy, courage, and imagination.

Note: Currently the "Roots & Wings" collection is a part of the "365 Days of American Black History" workbooks. Once this series is complete, the entire Roots and Wings Collection of short stories will be released as a separate Digital Book.
